Thanks for helping us Do the Dewey!
I'm sure I'm not the only library staff member who's feeling a little tired and achy today, but wow, what a party! Thank you to the hundreds of people who came out on Saturday night, April 26, to help us Do the Dewey and raise funds for the library and for the Rotary Club of Des Plaines. Watch PlainTalk for all the dishy details: the music, the prizes, how much money we raised and how many guests raised the roof - and as soon as possible I'll get some video footage so you can see how much fun we had. If you were at the party, check back soon to see yourself immortalized by our roving camerapersons. If you weren't at the party - you won't want to miss it next year! Stay tuned to PlainTalk and thanks again for a fabulous evening.

Boy, it was fantastic! I feel like I ran a 5K in high heels, but I know - because they all told me - that everyone had a great time. Karen's heels were higher than mine, so maybe she ran a 10K?
ReplyDeleteI had a great time on Saturday night. I had never been to Do the Dewey before, and it was wonderful seeing everyone enjoying themselves.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm really commenting to say a huge Thank You to the members of the Teen Advisory Board and the Key Club, who gave up their Saturday night to help prepare dessert trays, serve food and assist with the scavenger hunt. They did an awesome job and I'm super proud of them.
We had a great time at Do the Dewey. It's always a time for me to get together with friends and family. Two of my best friends attended - one from Cicero and one from almost Indiana. People do indeed come from far and wide to attend this event. Great food, music and programs.
